Advanced Dungeons & Dragons:
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons was the first role-playing game I ever played. I have seen my character choices for this system change over the years from bizarre monsters, to power-gamed characters and finally where I am now creatively role played characters.

Paladium Fantasy, Heroes Unlimited and Rifts:
Since I took my first look at the Paladium Role-Playing System I fell in love with the beauty and diversity. The Paladium System is more than just a hack'n slash system because it allowed for more realistic characters and plots that didn't just involve butchering the bad guy so you could get the experience points for the kill. Although there was the chance to do full scale carnage. No matter how big the bad guy you killed you only got a small amount of experience for the actual kill. More experience is given out for roleplaying and quik thinking then the actual violence. The only draw back is the fact that it takes a minimum of two hours to design a character in comparison to the quick and dirty Dungeons and Dragons characters.
